Return to the Nature (since 2009)

_70 collected glass bottles, natural incense, light_variable size_ 2010_Kumho Museum (Seoul)

This work starts with a single question "If there is a spirit in each piece of material, What is it that it really wants?" As an answer to discarded containers in the middle of the room that have the ultimate desire of returning to nature. In the center of containers, powderd leaves are placed to symbolize nature.

Park have collected glass of bottles which peoples threw away, and make a big incense buner with natural incense powders. It means some hope of these bottle(trash) which hope to be a nature like a living cretures after life. It looks like a big altar.
There are fillled with smell which these natural incense powders made in the gallery.

자연을 향한 회귀_ 수집한 재활용 유리병, 식물향(가루향), 조명_가변크기_ 2010 _금호미술관

사람들이 만들어놓은 문명의 이기들은 사람들이 자연으로 돌아가는 100년의 시간보다 이 땅에 훨씬 오래 머무르게된다.

먼 훗날 사람들이 이 오염된 별을 떠나게 된다면 결국 텅 빈 지구를 지키는 것은 바로 이 버려진 쓰레기들일 것이다. 인간은  

쓰레기 더미를 남기고 그들은 이 오염된 별에서 다시 자연으로 돌아갈 날을 홀로 남아 오랜 시간을 기다려야만 한다.

'버려진 쓰레기들이 땅에 남아 바라는 것이 무엇일까.'를 생각해본다.

버려진 유리병들에 '자연을 향한 그리움'을 담았다.

각각의 유리병에 연결된 전구열은 유리병에 담긴 나무 껍질들의 향 香을 불러일으킨다.

비록 모습은 버려진 유리병이지만 자신들이 향기는 자연의 향을 바라지 않았을까.

버려진 유리병들이 만든 자연을 향한 그리움을 담은 향로香爐 인셈이다.
